Ok, I was driving in the mountains on the Fourth of July with my family. We had just come from Brevard, on our way to Hendersonville where I also have an office space.
We look ahead and see this giant truck. I start laughing after a few seconds. Too funny!!! Let's see if you get the joke....
Have you ever heard that joke. the one about the red neck? Obviously this self proclaimed red neck has.
(click on the photo below to enlarge the license plate that contains the punchline)
Not much is funnier than real life, huh?
If you don't get it, say it out loud, beginning with the words, "Hey, y'all ___"

Ok, a few people have emailed to say, "I don't get it?!"
Here is my best explanation:
The Joke goes as follows:
What's the last thing a redneck says before he dies?
"Hey, Y'all, watch this....."
.....or in the case of the license plate, "WACHISS" which even gets the dialectic approach correct because a 'redneck' would never say, with crisp diction, "watch this." If you find the term "redneck" insulting or degrading, this joke works for just about any group of people you want to poke fun at. (I love ending sentences in prepositions in a post about dumb people!!)
The joke is supposed to describe the phenomena that we hear about so often among a certain set of people. As lawyers, it seems that we often represent some folks like this, or sue them. Back in the days that I did criminal law, I represented a lot of these folks. (insert mental image of redneck jumping off roof into pool but missing, redneck lighting a homemade firework and blowing himself up, redneck putting gun to his head that he "thinks" is unloaded, redneck setting his pants on fire, basically the stuff of "World's Stupidest Video's" fame) This is the same behavior that some people call "natural selection at work" featured on the website "The Darwin Awards"
Basically the joke is that the "watch this" part is a prelude to something very stupid, dangerous, and deadly happening. The joke pokes fun at the often unwise decisions with fatal results for the ignorant.
I guess that the guy who owned that big 'ol truck had heard the joke and was making fun of himself or self-identifying himself as the "redneck" in the joke. He may even be bosting that he's survived some "wachiss" moments.
Make sense now?
